You probably are thinking I am a cow but I am a Tibetan Yak. The Yak was probably domesticated in Tibet during the first millennium B.C., and it now occurs throughout the high plateaus and mountains of Central Asia, in association with people. This docile but powerful animal is the most useful of domestic animals at elevations above 2,000 meters. It serves as a mount and a beast of burden, is used for milk and meat production, and is sheared for its wool. Most clown wigs are made from the tail hair of the Yak. The wild Yak is on the endangered list and there is probably no more than a few hundred in the wild.
